Tending the Hearth:

Hestia’s Circle

RSVP

Who is Hestia?

Hestia is a ancient greek goddess, one of the original 12 Olympians. Though less commonly know, her role was more symbolic of a circle and a fire. Hestia was the goddess of the hearth, and temple, home and fire burning around the hearth. Hestia invites people into introspection, to observe their own inner thinking through meditative practices. In this space, we find clarity and openness to curiosity of ones inner world. Hestia reminds us of the importance of tending to our homes and surroundings, knowing that a home that is kept in order supports the inner home of our being.

“With Hestia as an inner presence, a woman is not “attached” to people, outcomes, possessions, prestige, or power. She feels whole as she is. Her ego isn’t on the line. Because her identity isn’t important, it is not tied to external circumstance. Thus she does not become elated or devastate by whatever happens. Hestia’s detachement give this archetype a “wise woman” quality.”

An Intentional Gathering

I was inspired by Hestia to create a circle, a hearth and home, to gather around for a short while. My career has been spent on supporting women in healing complex trauma, tending to attachment wounds with care, and finding new and creative ways to nourish women.

A gift that I have recently been tending to with love and care has been my voice and music. I want to offer sound to my community of women to be a source of nourishment and respite.

Many of our lives are being impacted by the wild distractions around the world that are breaking our hearts. I want us to have a place to come together with care and love, held by circle and the fire of Hestia’s home.
